Northern Coalfield Limited is a Mini Ratna Company run by Govt. of India; has been engage in Power Grade Cola extraction, handling and distribution around the Singrauli region of Madhya Pradesh and Sonbhadra region of Uttar Pradesh.

Mining affects the nature and lives around; in some way or other! Admitting the inevitable fact that India still largely depends on Thermal power to full fill its energy aspiration in domestic, civil and industrial level, there is no substitute of coal mining at this point of time.

Thus, to support the lives around and reconcile with the nature, NCL has been working on multiple dimension through its Corporate Social Responsibility. With a series of 8 videos; we have tried to capture a glimpse of lives in these distanced terrains and how an enormous change is in effect one step at a time.

We conducted a massive shooting with high-end audio video equipment, gimble and drones around the region in February 2020. We captured more than 100 Interviews and try to identify unique stories that can inspire.

We shortlisted 7 unique stories and Roopsy Sorkar developed heart touching scripts for the project. These videos have been narrated by famous voiceover artist Mr. OP Rathore and his team. Some of the most beautiful music used in these videos has been contributed by the local musicians from Sewakunj Ashram in Chapki village of Sonbhadra. Assisted by Vikash Jaisal; Kuber Patel captured most of the beautiful visuals for the videos. The final videos were mastered and edited by Ramkesh Patel. The series was developed directed by Sagar Das. With the support and guidance of NCL CSR team, the PR team and respective authority.
